Ways to work together
Shape the proposition, audience and architecture of a book before the writing runs away with you.
Make a full manuscript coherent, persuasive and rewarding to read, without losing the author's voice.
Practical editorial partnership, honest feedback and a workable path from expertise to finished chapters.
A clear diagnosis of what is working, what is holding the book back and where to focus next.
Proposals, positioning and editorial project management for authors and publishing teams.
Experience
I spent more than 15 years in specialist publishing, working with leading practitioners and academics to make demanding subjects useful, credible and readable.
My deepest experience is in finance, risk, markets and quantitative subjects. The editorial principles travel well: understand the reader, find the argument and remove everything that gets in its way.
A clear, collaborative process
You bring the expertise, evidence and authorial voice. I bring editorial judgement, publishing experience and constructive challenge. The book remains recognisably yours.
